What do I do if the item I received was damaged in transit? Contact us right away! We understand how frustrating it is to receive damaged merchandise. Every precaution is taken to make sure that your purchase arrives intact. In the unlikely event that something should happen during shipping, please contact us as soon as the damage is discovered.
You may reach us at help@ChessRight.com. We are here to help work out a suitable arrangement to ensure your total satisfaction. But don't wait to contact us! Most of our suppliers require notification within seven (7) days of receipt.
Once you have notified us of your intent to return a damaged item, you will be issued a Return Authorization (RA#) number. This number is required for ALL returns. Make sure this number is clearly visible on the outside of the package, or your package will be refused. You will be given detailed instructions at that same time. Please keep all packing materials that your shipment came with and follow all instructions carefully.
The item being returned, along with all the packaging, accessories, components and documentation, must be returned in the exact (unused) condition as they were received by you. All items being returned for refund are subject to a 15% restocking fee, but this fee is waived if the item is being returned for an exchange.
All items must be carefully packed and sent via a method that offers tracking and has a signature required for delivery. We recommend UPS or FedEx. We strongly recommend that you insure the package so that the courier, not ChessRight.com nor our suppliers, will be responsible for any damage or loss incurred while the package is in return transit. We cannot assume responsibility for returns that do not reach our facilities. Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment was received (for example, if the original purchase was made by credit card, the refund will be applied to the same credit card). Returns without RA#s and damage claims filed after the seven (7) day period will not be honored.
PLEASE NOTE: Warranties vary among our suppliers. If damage is discovered after the seven (7) day period, please Contact Us and let us know. In some circumstances, ChessRight.com may be able to secure a replacement for you up to a year after your purchase date.
What do I do if I change my mind after I order a chess set? Contact us right away! If your order has not yet been shipped, we may be able to cancel your order before your package leaves the warehouse. In some cases, a $10 cancellation fee may apply. If your order has already been shipped to you, please do NOT refuse delivery of the package when it arrives as this causes great confusion and additional fees with the shipper. Please sign for the delivery and promptly return the package unopened. |
